Broadway Park Pavilion

The Broadway Park Pavilion is just one part of the Lower Town Riverfront Conservancy’s revitalization of a previously polluted industrial site along the Huron River in downtown Ann Arbor. This new event center space will be able to operate year round and host concerts, civic celebrations, weddings and more. When finished, this space will be able to host groups of 300-500 indoors, and over a 1,000 outdoors. The buildings structure itself will be comprised of glulam columns with full length glulam beams spanning across the building, supporting a CLT roof structure. The plan is to fully expose the mass timber. CPI was awarded the design assist package to come on and provide specialty engineering services to get the drawings ready for permit. From there, CPI will be procuring the mass timber from Element 5 who are within hours of the project across the border in Canada, and plans are currently to complete the mass timber erection in early 2026.
