Shevlin Crossing – Building B

Carpentry Plus Inc. played a key role in the mass timber installation at Shevlin Crossing Building B, Phase 2 of a commercial office development Bend’s NorthWest Crossing neighborhood. The building features CLT for shear walls, floors, and roof assemblies, ensuring both strength and aesthetic warmth, while celebrating the regions’ rich timber heritage as well. 

Using a 12-foot structural grid of glulam beams and columns created an open space for tenants, supporting flexible office layouts. According to TVA Architects, the project incorporated 10,938 cubic feet of wood, and will primarily be left exposed, which will allow the natural wood fiber to act as the architectural finish. Designed for health and wellness, the two-story buildings maximize natural light, fresh air, and seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity with operable windows and glazed roll-up doors. Pictured above is Building A, built during Phase 1, which is a good representation of how Building B will look. Plans for the second phase are to add a small cafe with outdoor dining as well.
