Ullrhoff Restaurant

Planned for construction in summer of 2025, the new Ullrhof Restaurant is planning on expanding to a 45,000 sqft space. This new design will require the complete demolition of the existing space, and will feature three floors with access from the Lunch Line catwalk as well as a partially covered outdoor dining space. Using CLT and glulam post-and-beam will allow for an aggressive construction schedule. Glulam trusses will be featured prominently in the lodge space. Mass timber was chosen for it’s aesthetic and speed of construction benefits.

Carpentry Plus was awarded the design assist contract and partnered with Lamwood to work through some important redesign to meet the building code requirements and to come up with cost-effective connections that still achieved the desired look. 

Site access was a challenge as well, and care was taken with early site visits to plan for potentially being able to bring multiple cranes to ensure the building is enclosed before the winter snow begins.
